New group information

We are busy getting ready for the new term at Woodlands Nursery Centre.

New Group information has been posted to your individual learning journal.

We have been contacting new families who are joining us to send a copy of the Nursery handbook.

We are busy preparing the rooms, for the new term to start making memories with the new families, who will be taking their first steps into nursery life.

If you have any questions about your child’s start date/change of group – please call the nursery on 420421.

Woodlands Nursery Centre Graduation

Due to the recent unfortunate circumstances we have been unable to celebrate the children’s graduation from nursery with a ceremonial event, however staff have collated the video below with all of their well wishes for all of the children who are off on their very exciting journey to Primary School. It has been a pleasure working with all of the children and families and we wish you all the best as you embark on your new adventure!

Home Challenge Week 4

This week Nicola from our 3-5 room has set a nature inspired, creative task. Nicola wants you to find different natural materials e.g. sticks, stones, grass and leaves to make a self portrait of your face.

If children do not want to make a face they can also express their ideas using the natural  objects however they choose.

Enjoy exploring the wonders of nature!

Home Challenge Week 3

This week it’s time for a creative challenge! Sharon from our 3-5 room would like you to create something out of paper – it can be whatever you want and you can decorate it however you want. You can send a photograph of your paper creation to:

We can’t wait to see all of your designs!

Home Challenge Week 2

Following on from last week’s challenge, Carol from our 3-5 room has been working on some fun Scavenger Hunts that you and your children can participate in. All of these items can be found in your gardens, on a walk or indeed at home.

Carol has themed this week’s around Literacy and Numeracy – These will provide your children with fun activities whilst providing some lovely valuable learning too.

We would love to see some of your pictures of everything you have managed to scavenge, which can be sent to:

There are 4 to choose from or if you are feeling adventurous you could try them all!

Happy Hunting!

Challenge Week 1

We would like you to go on a Treasure Hunt. On your Treasure Hunt we would like you to find 5 things inside your house, in the garden or on a walk outside. Once you have found your items we would love you to take a picture of them, draw them or use them to create a picture and send them to:

We can’t wait to see all of the exciting things you find!
